Lumen Grid balances 30,000 home batteries and solar installs on the Dutch grid in real time. We're hiring a Backend Engineer to join a small, senior team where your work ships to real customers every week. You'll own problems end-to-end, from understanding the need to measuring the outcome.
We are a multilingual workplace: English is our working language, and Dutch or Arabic is a plus. Newcomers to the Netherlands are explicitly welcome — we help with relocation paperwork, BSN registration and the 30% ruling where eligible.
What you'll do
- Build high-throughput Go services
- Design PostgreSQL schemas for time-series data
- Own on-call for your services (1 week in 6)
What we're looking for
- 3+ years backend experience, Go preferred
- Solid SQL and distributed-systems basics
- Curiosity about energy
